Both Rashard Lewis and James Jones will be back next season. Practices will remain intense and that deep end of the bench will continue to have experienced vets. For Jones, he returns to the home town team and will help add shooting depth. Lewis gives a front court player with some range as well.
The Heat still have the team option on the table for Mario Chalmers. At $4M, the Heat are expected to bring him back but the decision won’t have to be made until Sunday. It will be interesting to see what the Heat plan on doing although the good feeling and sentiment about this team should outweigh any risk-taking that Pat Riley is willing to do.
Chris Andersen, aka the “Birdman”, did indicate in his comments at the championship parade that he would come back with the Heat next year.
Birdman "let's try to get a threepeat next year." Sounds like he's coming back.

The Heat need Andersen, to be quite honest. His energy in front of the home crowd may have been the reason why he was left out of the rotation in San Antonio – he feeds off the crowd and changes Miami’s interior defense. With a $1.4M veteran option on the table, he provides tremendous value for a team that is essentially cash strapped.
