Day 1 of Free Agency Ends With Wade and Bosh Together

Two future teammates eating together? Courtesy of Chris Bosh's Twitter feed.

Ok, not exactly what you might think and certainly not in the city you might be hoping but Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade did end day 1 of the free agency barrage together – at dinner in Chicago.

Both had interviews that day, both getting a visit with Pat Riley and the Heat. For Wade, it was about staying in Miami, which he most likely will end up doing considering all the love the city has shown him and the fact that he can get the largest pay day there plus have the ability to win a title or two.

For Bosh, it is about getting an opportunity to win and play with a good friend as well as making the money on a level his professional skills are worth. The stage is the only thing missing and with pushes from the Rockets, Knicks, Bulls, and even Raptors there is a lot to consider. He did comment that Pat Riley was passionate about winning. We’ll see if that, and Wade’s fire, will end up convincing him to aim for the Heat sign-and-trade scenario.

What is extremely interesting is that Bosh said in his tweet , “Just had dinner w @dwadeofficial. Great way to end day 1 of #freeagency although it feels like someone is missing……” [italics added for emphasis]. Wade re-tweeted the same sentiment, but the question is, who is missing from this photo? Lebron James?

This is starting to look more definite. Especially with rumors of the three settling to take slightly less on the first year paycheck, which if true would be somewhat miraculous in this day and age. Then again, Bosh and Wade know they have an audience and could be just messin’ with us!

Will Pacers Present Stronger Challenge than Knicks?

The Miami Heat made quick work of the New York Knicks and, let’s be honest, there wasn’t much drama besides the fire extinguisher and the bump in Game 4. The signature defense was there, although the Heat had trouble containing Carmelo Anthony’s barrage in the final 2 games of the series. The Indiana Pacers, however, [...]

Heat and Knicks Square Off in White Hot Heat Playoffs 2012

It’s been a while since these two flagship franchises have met in the playoffs, but just a meeting alone makes headlines. Back in 2000, it was the 8th seeded Knicks that upset the top seeded Miami Heat on their home floor in Game 7. It was the apocalypse for Miami fans and I was there. [...]

The Chicago Wind Still Blows Without Derrick Rose

Despite NBA MVP Derrick Rose’s absence, the Miami Heat could not prove to be victorious Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls. Dwyane Wade made a season high 36 points and 7 rebounds and LeBron was right behind him with 35 points. But Chicago’s third point guard, John Lucas, is who really stole the show with [...]

Two great wins in a row for the Miami Heat as they came home after a long road trip to face the Spurs and now the Los Angeles Lakers. The scoreboard blazed 98-87 but the game was not nearly as close as the score would indicate. The Heat got 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 [...]
