Chalmers and Banks Look to Shake Things Up in Europe

Not quite what you may think – the Heat made the flight to Paris Tuesday but may be without point guards Chris Quinn and Shaun Livington for the two exhibitions.

The eight hour flight to Europe, apparently, was not kind to the knee of Chris Quinn which resulted in some swelling, the Miami Herald reports.

What this means is an opportunity for both Marcus Banks and rookie Mario Chalmers to make the most of their playing time and demand a chunk of PT. This could be beneficial as the Heat sort out their point guard depth in anticipation of a trade to shore up their roster. At this point, and this seems very likely to change, Chris Quinn is the favorite to start at point guard.

Udonis Haslem, James Jones and Dorrel Wright continue to be questionable for the exhibition games at this point.

About jonnylons
Self-proclaimed #1 Heat fan. Founded MiamiHeatwave.com back in 2004 when I couldn't follow the Heat living in Tallahassee. Found lots of fellow "Heatians" online and it has never been the same since. Loving this new Heat team with the Triumvirate. Pat Riley has always been, and will now forever be, my idol.
