A Rose to Chicago? Is Beasley Nutty?
There is much ado about the recent comments from Derrick Rose, who worked out for Chicago and ONLY Chicago. He expects to go nowhere else but seems confident – or demanding – that he is going to the Bulls with the first pick.
“I don’t think so,” Rose said at the Bulls’ practice facility. “All I know now is that I’m here.”
Of course, they will most likely schedule a visit here, but the language was clear – Rose wants Chicago. Which begs the question, do we want him here?
Beasley has the Heat brass very concerned about his character. Is he mature enough? Can he develop a good work ethic? What good is the talent if the desire is not there? Beasley, as we reported earlier, was in Miami on Wednesday and today. What the Heat front office got from the visit remains to be seen. Here is a little extra something to watch in the meantime:
I have had a little voice in the back of my head say that OJ Mayo is actually the best value in this draft. I am wondering if Miami is thinking the same thing and would trade down to get Mayo and some extra parts for their organization. Considering the possibility of both Rose and Beasley, the Heat could get quite a bit but would have to pull the trigger before the trade. Besides, Beasley’s personality has ESPN thinking about whether he is worth it or not and that might be enough to scare off the Bulls.
